It was lovely to not have to worry about noise and to sleep in my own room again with its comfortable double bed. (The sleeping room was made up with single beds next to each other.) I woke up earlier than I expected but did not get up until 11.30.
I spent a very quiet day, more characterised by the 'did nots' than by the 'dids'.
- I went to the dancing class but mainly watched.
- I did not go to the World Club Members cocktail party.
- I did not go to the 7.45pm dancing in Hemispheres.
- After two dances in the 9.15 session I realised how weary I was and did not dance any further. I went to bed early instead.
However, what I did do was have a nice quiet introverted afternoon with a good book.
(As the song goes: 'Momma said there'd be days like this. There'd be days like this, my Momma said.' Well, that's certainly what it's like with ME/CFS. I appreciate the days when I have energy to do lots of things, but I recognise that days like this are perhaps closer to the norm.)
